Sharon Spector is a retired therapist, who provides individual counseling and therapy to adults, including those of college age, as well as professional supervision for LGCPs and others. She has worked successfully with people of diverse backgrounds.
New clients generally find Sharon empathetic and easy to talk to.
Sharon is skilled and experienced in the treatment of depression, grief, anxiety, and stress-related problems. She also has expertise in working with trauma survivors, especially sexual trauma; women’s therapy issues and sexual orientation/gay/lesbian/bisexual concerns.
Sharon pursued her graduate training at both Trenton State University (M.Ed., 1975) and more recently, the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, from which she holds a Master’s degree and a Certificate of Advance Study in Counseling and Consulting Psychology. She has practiced EMDR since 1999 as a valuable adjunct to her client-centered talk therapy.
